Project Manager Jobs in Oxford

A project manager is only as effective as the operation they are working within. Hand the best PM in the industry a disjointed team, no systems and a client who has been overpromised, and the outcome is the same every time — firefighting, stress and compromised delivery. At Lynch Brother Homes, we have spent years building the operation that most project managers wish they had behind them.

We are looking for an experienced construction project manager to join our team and take ownership of residential projects across Oxford and Oxfordshire. This is a role with genuine autonomy, direct access to directors and a support structure that has been purposefully designed to let you focus on what you do best — delivering exceptional homes for our clients.

Pay: Competitive salary — based on experience. Discussed at interview. Job Type: Full-time, permanent Location: Oxford and Oxfordshire — in person

What You Will Be Managing

Our portfolio is high-end residential — bespoke new builds, extensions, conversions and refurbishments for clients who expect quality, communication and professionalism at every stage. As project manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing multiple live residential projects from pre-construction through to handover
  • Developing and maintaining project programmes, ensuring delivery stays on track
  • Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants across all active builds
  • Owning the client relationship — setting expectations, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction throughout
  • Working closely with the quantity surveyor to monitor budgets, manage costs and control variations
  • Conducting regular site visits to review progress, quality and compliance
  • Identifying risks and resolving issues proactively before they impact programme or budget
  • Ensuring all projects comply with building regulations, health and safety requirements and company standards
  • Reporting to directors and contributing to the strategic planning of the business as it grows

You will not be working in isolation. Our office team — administrators, accounts, QS and directors — are already driving the systems and processes that keep the operation running. You will be joining a structure that works, not building one from scratch.

What We Expect

We have built our reputation across Oxfordshire through meticulous project delivery, and the project manager role is central to maintaining that standard. The right candidate will bring:

  • Significant experience managing residential construction projects, ideally within the domestic sector
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget and to a high standard of quality
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously
  • Excellent client-facing communication — our clients are central to everything we do
  • The ability to coordinate across trades, consultants and internal teams with confidence
  • Financial awareness and experience working alongside QS functions to manage project costs
  • A proactive, solutions-first approach to problem-solving
  • A relevant qualification in construction management, project management or equivalent is desirable but not essential — what matters is proven delivery

We are looking for a project manager who has outgrown their current environment. Someone who knows what they are capable of delivering when the operation behind them actually works — and is ready to prove it.

What You Get in Return

Most construction PMs know the same frustration. Overstretched, under-supported, accountable for outcomes they were never given the tools to control. At Lynch Brother Homes, we have built a fundamentally different model.

Systems and structure that already work. You are not inheriting chaos. Our back-office operation, coordination processes and delivery systems are established and proven. You will be leading projects within a framework that has been built to support you, not one you need to rescue.

A team that feels like family. Lynch Brother Homes is a family-run business and that is felt across everything we do. Regular team lunches, open communication, honest conversations and a culture where people support each other. You will be working alongside directors, not reporting into a faceless hierarchy.

Direct influence on a growing business. We are expanding across Oxfordshire and this role carries real weight. Your input will shape how projects are planned and delivered as the company grows. That level of influence and proximity to decision-making is something most PMs in larger firms never get.

Training and career development. We invest in our people at every level. Whether that is leadership development, technical certifications or strategic growth within the business — we actively support progression. A project manager role here has room to evolve as the company does.

Local projects, always. Every build is in and around Oxford. No travelling the country, no long stretches away from home. A senior role without the lifestyle compromise.

This Role Is Right for You If

  • You are a strong PM who has been held back by poor operations, weak teams or a lack of support
  • You want genuine ownership of project delivery with the structure behind you to make it work
  • You thrive on client relationships and take pride in delivering homes people love
  • You want to be part of a growing company where your contribution is visible and valued
  • You are looking for a leadership role within a team that operates as a family, not a corporation
